01. Do I attend with my child?
A: All children attending Gymbaroo must be accompanied by an adult. This can be a parent , nanny, grandparent or any nominated carer. Grandparents/partners are also most welcome to come along with the primary carer and observe.

02.
Can I make up a missed class and do I need to notify anyone if my
child is unable to attend a class ?
Makeup classes are available if you and your child miss
a class. These must be taken within the same term that the class
is missed (they cannot be carried over). To make up a class simply
choose another age appropriate class from the timetable and come
along. Children from the Bondi centre can make up classes at Daceyville
and v.v. Please be sure to let the teacher or assistant know when
you arrive that you are making up a class.
03. What
should we wear?
Try and dress both your self and your child in comfortable loose clothing (Girls / Mums in shorts or pants, rather than a dress). For babies, please bring a bunny rug as a comforter and wherever possible do not dress your baby in a full suit (to maximize baby massage activity)
 04. How long is a class?
45minutes for all ages except 50 minutes for 21/2 to 4 year olds.
05. What
footwear is recommended for class?
Children need bare feet so that they can experience the activities through all the senses. Children gain a lot of information through their feet. Bare feet also assists their grip on the equipment. Parents also need to remove shoes (but can keep socks on) so that we can keep the equipment and floor clean for the children.
Safety Note: Wooden floors can become very slippery when wearing socks. Adults in socks should take due care. Our wooden equipment can also be hard to grip with socks on so if you require your child to wear socks, please ensure they are the non-slip variety (rubber pads on base).
06. Can I bring my older /younger child /baby along?
It is preferable not to bring siblings along. However as
this is not always practical, siblings are welcomed. However as
they are not insured they are not allowed to go on the equipment
and should be closely supervised at all times. Please ask us for
a baby bouncer so your baby can join the older sibling at mat time.
 07. For Safety!
Children are only permitted on the equipment at designated times and under the supervision of a parent/ carer or teacher. Children should not use the equipment during mat time. Unsupervised and/or uninsured children are not permitted on the equipment at any time (including siblings)
08. What if my child does not enjoy Gymbaroo or is not co-operative?
Let your child have their own Gymbaroo experience. It is important for parents to put their own expectations aside and to let their child have their own unique experience.
If your child feels that they are to some degree leading the way, then it is a lot more fun for both child and parent. There is a lot less pressure on the child if they do not need to try and fulfill their parent's expectations.
Try these hints:
- Let your child finish what they are doing before encouraging them to try something else.
- If they need a cuddle on your lap and want to watch the activity, allow them to do this and they will join in when they feel it is safe to do so.
- Don't worry if your child is doing the activity a little differently to that which has been demonstrated.

09. Can
I bring something from home for treasure bag?
Preschooler's are welcome to bring the appropriate toy or book for the Treasure bag each week. Children love to see their own toy come out of the bag but please check with the teacher the previous week.
GENERAL INFORMATION ...
01. Audio Tapes and CDs
We use songs and music throughout the program to help with memory, visualisation and rhythm. We recommend that parents purchase the term theme music (on CD or Cassette) to play at home or in the car to familiarise your child with the songs.
02. The ladder of learning videos
Parents can borrow these videos showing the vital stages of early childhood development.
03. Photography Rules
Gymbaroo respects all members privacy and we do not permit photography of any type while classes are in progress. If you wish to take a photo / video of your child, please arrange it with a staff member who will allow you to do so after class when no other children or carers are present.
